Salisbury Bowling Club – Singles Club Champions Crowned!

Thursday 12th March saw the Club Singles Championship games completed, with one new winner crowned and a multiple winner crowned.

In the Men’s, Jason Smith took on Robert Wright. Both men were aiming for their first club singles crown, at the first attempt. Despite a strong start from Robert, Jason had a blistering middle section of the game to really stamp his dominance. Jason finished the game at the first attempt, and in that, became the 2025/26 Men’s Singles Champion.

In the Ladies, Freda Fraser, winner of many titles before, took on Josette Hemlin under the roof. Despite a frantic start which Josette broke out to a 15-0 lead, Freda showed her class by clawing back to be only down by 4 shots. Josette got the control back in the game, and finished the win in an emphatic fashion to become the 2025/26 Ladies Singles Champion.

Both bowlers are now eligible to compete in the 2025/26 Bowls SA Champions of Champions event. Go well!
